NetClubbed's full-stack and DevOps team architected Beyond from the ground up — a React/Next.js frontend, a Node.js/Hapi.js API layer, AWS Lambda serverless functions, Terraform infrastructure-as-code, Okta Auth0 identity, MongoDB for flexible data, and Elasticsearch for blazing-fast search and leaderboards. Performance-based rewards engine — players earn points, badges, and prizes based on challenge outcomes. Reward rules are fully configurable by admins and processed asynchronously via AWS Lambda.
Player Social Graph
Follow, friend, and squad systems — players build networks, see activity feeds, and join group challenges. MongoDB's flexible schema handles complex social graph relationships at scale without performance degradation.
Real-Time Leaderboards
Elasticsearch-powered global and challenge-specific leaderboards with sub-100ms query times — players see live rankings that update as results come in, across multiple dimensions (score, wins, streaks).
Enterprise-Grade Auth (Okta Auth0)
Okta Auth0 integration for secure identity management — social login, MFA, role-based access control, and JWT-based API authorisation. Handles millions of sessions with zero compromise on security.
Serverless Infrastructure (IaC)
Entire AWS infrastructure provisioned via Terraform — Lambda functions, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, and VPC — all as code. Zero-downtime deployments, auto-scaling under load, and complete environment reproducibility.

How We Did It.
An 18-month engineering journey — architecture first, performance built in from day one.
Architecture & Design
Months 1–2 — System design workshops, tech stack selection, AWS infrastructure planning, data modelling, API contract design, and UI/UX design for all core flows before any code was written.
Core Platform Build
Months 3–7 — Auth0 integration, user and social graph APIs, challenge engine, rewards system, MongoDB schema design, Elasticsearch indexing strategy, and Terraform IaC for all AWS services.
Frontend Development
Months 5–10 — React/Next.js frontend developed in parallel with the API layer — leaderboards, challenge flows, player profiles, notifications, and the rewards dashboard, all SSR-optimised.
Performance & Scale Testing
